Yoga FAQs
Below are four commonly asked questions (and answers) that can help you understand the benefits and logistics of Yoga:
I’m not flexible—can I still do yoga?
Absolutely. Yoga is designed to improve flexibility over time. You’ll be guided into poses that suit your current ability, and modifications are always available to accommodate different ranges of motion.
What should I wear or bring to class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothes that allow you to move freely. Most studios provide mats, blocks, and straps, but you can bring your own mat if you prefer. Don’t forget a water bottle and a towel if you tend to sweat.
How often should I practice to see results?
Consistency is key. Many people feel benefits—like reduced stress and better flexibility—after two to three sessions per week. The more regularly you practice, the faster you’ll notice improved strength, balance, and mindfulness.
Will I get a full workout with yoga?
Yes. Different yoga styles offer varying intensities. Power Vinyasa, for example, can elevate your heart rate and build strength, while Restorative or Yin Yoga focuses on deep stretching and relaxation. Choose the style that aligns with your goals.
